Police Changing Patrol Patterns After Fires In Glassport

GLASSPORT (KDKA) -- People in Glassport are being asked to remain vigilant, and police have changed their patrols after a series of possible arsons overnight.

Mayor Michael Evanovich said, "They did three places in about three hours. That's pretty much an arsonist."

The Allegheny County Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of fires.

A fire broke out in an abandoned church. Then, about 90 minutes later, a small fire in a garage. But after that, a large fire erupted in a row of three garages.

People are being asked to report anything they see that is suspicious.

Meanwhile, police have changed their patrols after the fires.

"Hopefully, this is the end, but we have to remain vigilant," said Mayor Evanovich.
