Pitt QBs Coach Bollinger Previews Panthers Season

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pitt Panthers report to camp on Tuesday, and quarterbacks coach Brooks Bollinger previews the season with Troy Clardy on Sportsradio 93. 7 The Fan.

Coach Bollinger is looking forward to getting back to the field and seeing what the entire team can do.

"I think there's a great deal of excitement," he says. "They've worked hard, and they've done a great job of taking that first step towards becoming a team. It's all come together to give us great energy going into the start of camp."

The starting quarterback position is unsettled as Pitt's camp begins, but Bollinger knows how the candidates can separate themselves.

"You've got to be able to make all the throws. You've got to be able to handle everything. We throw a lot on quarterbacks mentally. They have to be able to handle and process everything. Whoever's going to play quarterback had better be tough mentally and physically."

Coach also compares senior Tom Savage and redshirt freshman Chad Voytik, previews what ACC-level defenses may throw at the Panthers. He also talks about what he thinks would make for a successful season for the Panthers. For those thoughts, listen to the entire interview below!

Catch Troy Clardy Sunday mornings on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
