Pirates' Pitcher Karstens Ready For Opening Day
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, Jeff Karstens has proven that he has what it takes to be a top of the rotation pitcher. Some say that he should be the Bucs' Opening Day starter. In 30 appearances in 2011, Karstens posted a 9-9 record with a 3.38 ERA.
The Pirates' starter stopped by to talk to the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday at McKechnie Field in Bradenton, Fla.
The Fan Morning Show will be broadcasting live at Pirates' Spring Training all this week from 5:40 a.m. until 10 a.m.
