PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -  The Pirates will open their season at home against the Colorado Rockies on April 7, but it will cost you a little more to watch games at PNC Park.

On Monday, the Pirates released their ticket promotional schedule and also announced an increase in ticket prices for game day tickets.

Colin Dunlap of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reported this morning that this is the first price increase for any Pirates tickets in the past nine years.

The increase in the game day ticket prices will not affect season tickets, group tickets or advanced purchased tickets.
