PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN) -  The Tribune Review's Rob Biertempfel joins Seibel, Starkey, and Miller to talk about the Pirates as they start the second half of the season.

Biertempfel points out the greatest achievement for this team is not their contention for first, rather the accomplishments they have made since last year sitting at four games over .500.

Biertempfel says down the stretch, the key to success for this Pirates' squad is managing the pitching correctly, and using the bullpen as well as players from AAA to contribute.

Biertempfel also touches on the upcoming trade deadline.   He says there have been talks with the Angels about potentially trading Garrett Jones.
