Pedestrian Killed Along Rte. 66 In Armstrong Co.
KISKIMINETAS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A pedestrian was killed in Armstrong County.
State police say Megan Eckenrode, 37, of Apollo, was walking along Route 66 northbound when she was struck by a pickup truck.
This happened Monday around 5 p.m. in Kiskiminetas Township.
The pickup truck's driver, Douglas Sprankle, 24, stopped after the collision to help, but Eckenrode died at the scene.
State police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
