39-year-old man killed in New Castle shooting; suspect in custody
NEW CASTLE, Pa. (KDKA) -- A suspect has been taken into custody following a homicide in New Castle, Lawrence County, over the weekend.
Sources tell KDKA-TV that Angelina Masi-Carlucci has been taken into custody, and she is accused of conspiracy to commit homicide.
On Sunday, authorities found the body of Omar Hakim inside an SUV near East Moody Avenue and Carlisle Street.
Investigators believe several gunshots were fired from outside the SUV and at least one shot from inside.
"Through the still ongoing investigation," the department said in a post to social media, "New Castle Police Criminal Investigators have been able to speak to numerous witnesses and view numerous videos of the scene and surrounding areas that have led to the belief that Masi transported the suspected shooter to the area of the homicide minutes prior to the shooting."
