NBC Sports Hockey Commentator Mike "Doc" Emrick Talks Crosby Return

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Doc Emrick joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss the Pens play recently, and how he sees things working out when Crosby comes back.

Doc said it would be nice to see Sid play Sunday since he's calling the game on NBC, but said Sid needs to come back when he's ready, and not any sooner.  We also got Doc's impressions of the Mario statue since he was here for the unveiling.

With the red line possibly coming back into the game, we got Doc to weigh in on whether or not he thinks that will improve player safety without ruining the level of play we've grown accustomed to since the lockout.

Doc also weighed in on the impact of Sidney Crosby returning, and what that does for the Pens chances at winning another Cup.

Being a long-time Pirates fan, Doc weighed in on the Andrew McCutchen contract and how excited he is about it.
