An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in Wilkinsburg on Wednesday.

Allegheny County Police said dispatchers were notified of a shooting on Wesley Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. When first responders got there, police said they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Deglin St. Clair, of Larimer.

At last check, there are no arrests and no suspects.

KDKA-TV also met a couple who watched this crime scene unfold. They are dealing with their own pain.

Crime tape now surrounds houses on Wesley Street near Labelle Street.

Police say a man who'd been shot in the stomach was found on a porch.

"(The neighbor) called for 911. He tried to knock on two doors that we know of," said Lieutenant Venerando Costa with the Allegheny County Police Department.

Wilkinsburg police say they pulled the victim onto the grass and tried to stop the bleeding. Police say the victim kept saying, "Please help me, I don't want to die."

Several neighbors told KDKA-TV that they heard at least five shots.

"Exchange of gunfire, big caliber versus small caliber, then heard scuffling through the street, I guess, or whatever, and heard someone hollering," said neighbor Michael Worthy, whose daughter was also shot and killed in February.

Police are also looking for more information about where this shooting happened.

"We have information that a female in a yellow shirt was in the area, not that she was involved, but any information on that would be helpful," Lt. Costa said.

Michael and Lois Worthy are still reeling from the death of their daughter.

Police say 26-year-old Taylor Hall died after being shot in Pittsburgh's Sheraden neighborhood in February.

"I was just hoping it wasn't like my daughter, hopefully he made it. My daughter didn't make it. We don't need another person shot for no apparent reason," Michael Worthy said.

Hall was a mother of two. Her family is still desperate for answers and justice in her case.

"It's just another senseless Black killing, that's what I feel happened to my daughter," Worthy added.

Worthy also questions the purpose of this latest deadly incident.

"It's over what? Whatever it is, just live another day. Walk away. It doesn't mean anything. What are you shooting somebody for?"

Meanwhile, Michael and Lois Worthy told KDKA-TV that there have been no arrests in their daughter's case.

Allegheny County police's Homicide Unit is investigating the Wilkinsburg shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the county tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
