Man Found Fatally Shot In Vehicle In Sheraden

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a vehicle in Sheraden Sunday afternoon.

Police say a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired in the 3200-block of Universal Street around 2:35 p.m.

One their way to the scene, police say they found a car crashed into a pole in the 3100-block of the same street. A man was found dead inside.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Chauncy Howard of the North Side. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:42 p.m.

Officers from Zone 6 say they located five males in a vehicle matching the one seen leaving the area after the shooting.

Two of them, both 17, were arrested and charged with violating the firearms code.

They were taken to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center. But, so far, no one has been charged with the murder.

The investigation continues.
