Lawyers For Orie Melvin In Court To Review Pre-Trial Issues
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Attorneys for suspended Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin and her sister Janine Orie were in court Friday morning to review a number of pre-trial issues in their corruption trial.
The defendants were not present.
When Judge Lester Nauhaus asked Justice Melvin's lawyer when he would be ready to try the case, and the lawyer suggested February, the judge told him that would not be acceptable.
No trial date has been set.
However, the judge predicted, "this case will be tried before then."
