IUP Football Player Facing Charges

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA) -- A star football player from IUP is facing charges for what police found at an off-campus apartment.

IUP sophomore James Johnson was at an apartment at 13th and Oakland Tuesday when police were called for a disturbance.

Inside, they found marijuana that police believe was going to be sold, as well as a gun that was stolen during a home burglary in Bucks County.

Johnson is facing numerous charges, including possession with intent to deliver and a receiving stolen property charge for the firearm.

He was released after his arraignment on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Johnson could also face action from the university.
