Getting To Know Todd Graham

Mike Brown, a writer for the Tulsa World, covers the Tulsa football program and he joined Seibel and Starkey on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss what Pitt fans can expect from Todd Graham who will reportedly be their next head coach.

There were reports that Graham would allow Tulsa to make a counter offer before accepting the position at Pitt, but Brown thinks that Tulsa is stretched as far as they can go and Graham and is just making sure he gets everything out of Pitt that he wants for himself and his assistants.

One concern might be that Graham just lost his offensive coordinator to Clemson and Brown tells us that he doesn't know who he'll bring with him, but he does know that whoever he gives the job to will be a high-octane guy because he runs an extremely aggressive offense.

One concern Pitt fans have with the reported hiring of Graham is that his defenses have struggled over the years and Mike Brown explained that Graham likes to run the 3-3-6 defense and he likes to have a fast, aggressive defense which at times has been undersized at Tulsa.  Given the new crop of players Graham can recruit, it is possible that he will no longer have undersized players, which will lead to a better defense.
