Ed Bouchette Breaks Down Steelers/Falcons
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Steelers' Insider Ed Bouchette stopped by the Fan Morning Show to break down the Steelers' win over the Falcons Saturday night.
Bouchette said after the game, he gathered from Maurkice Pouncey and Mike Tomlin that Pouncey's ankle will be just fine, and that he should be ready to go by Sept. 11.
Ed doesn't necessarily think that the Steelers will go "pass-happy" and throw the ball up and down the field. He thinks that they will still try to keep a 50/50 mix of run/pass plays.
Marcus Gilbert played well in the game against Atlanta, but he will not take the starting left tackle job from Jonathan Scott. However, it will be good to have a capable backup in the rookie.
As for the fourth preseason game against Carolina, Ed doesn't think that the Steelers will play the starters very much, if at all.
