Cyber Attacks Slow Down PNC Bank
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- If you're a PNC Bank customer and tried to go online in the last couple of days, you may have noticed their website either running really slow or not working at all.
That's because PNC Bank, along with a few other major U.S. banks, were hit by a cyber attack that crippled their websites.
KDKA AM's Larry Richert and John Shumway talk to David Brumley, a cyber security expert at Carnegie Mellon University, about what is causing the slow down and who might be behind it.
