Crash on the North Side brings down light pole
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A light pole fell down after a driver slammed into it on the North Side.
The crash happened on East North Avenue near the intersection of Federal Street on Wednesday morning.
Police said witnesses told officers the car was speeding and nearly collided with a pick-up truck while trying to turn onto West North Avenue. The driver crashed into a parked vehicle, then the light pole, police said.
While on their way to the scene, police said they were told four juveniles were seen running from the crashed vehicle.
Police said two girls were detained, checked by medics and cleared.
