Coaching Legends Majors, Sherill Talk Pitt-Penn State

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Legendary Pitt coaches Johnny Majors and Jackie Sherrill joined Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan's Vinnie & Cook to share their thoughts on the rebirth of the Pitt-Penn State rivalry.

Majors thinks the Pitt-Penn State is right up there with the other great rivalries in college football. He takes us back to Pitt's legendary 1976 win over Penn State, and tells us some inside stories on how Panther wins over the Nittany Lions get celebrated.

Sherrill coached in some the biggest Pitt-Penn State games, but he still thinks about that 1981 loss to Penn State. He tells us what he makes of the Pitt-Penn State rivalry coming back, and what it was like to lead the Pitt program to a national championship level. Coach also looks back at his relationship with Joe Paterno.
