Clark: "Un-Steeler" Like To Take The Easy Way Out

Steelers' safety Ryan Clark joined Ron Cook for his regular weekly visit to talk about last week's game against Carolina.

Clark said, the defense really wanted a shutout in the game, but fell short by three points. Clark jokes that special teams captain, Keyaron Fox, is to blame because the special teams gave Carolina a short field to work with to break the shut out.

Clark would have liked to see a Browns' win over the Ravens on Sunday to secure the second seed, but it would be "un-Steeler" for the Steelers to take the easy way out.

With one more game to go in the regular season, a win will get the team a first-round bye. Clark said, Sunday's game will determine whether they "do it the '05 way, or do it the '08 way."

Clark and the Steelers would prefer to get out of Cleveland with the win to have the extra time for guys to get healthy, especially Troy Polamalu, and Aaron Smith.

Clark has some thoughts on the postponed game in Philadelphia. He says, he would have wanted to play, but understands that the safety of the fans is the most important thing. The fans fuel the game and they are just as important as the players.
