Victim recovering, two people questioned after late-night shooting in Pittsburgh neighborhood
A victim is recovering in the hospital, and two people were taken in for questioning after a shooting in Pittsburgh's Brighton Heights neighborhood.
According to information provided to KDKA-TV, just before 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, police were alerted to a shooting in Brighton Heights in the 3300 block of Fleming Avenue.
When first responders arrived, they found a man down in the street who had been shot multiple times. The man was conscious and alert while first responders provided aid.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment by EMS, and his status is stable.
Meanwhile, two people were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
On Thursday afternoon, Pittsburgh Public Safety announced that 26-year-old Larry Jones Jr. was arrested in relation to the shooting. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault. Police took him into custody and he is now being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
It's not known if Jones was one of the two people taken in for questioning.
The Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit is investigating the shooting.
