PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Milwaukee Brewers general manager Doug Melvin joined the Vinnie and Cook show on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan to discuss his NL Central-leading club and how he's been able to assemble such a successful team in a small market.

Melvin also tells us what has put the Brewers in first place and in prime position to make the playoffs.

Prince Fielder will be a free agent at the end of the season and Melvin gives us a brief outline on what it will take to bring him back to Milwaukee.

And, of course, he speaks on the Brewers' upcoming match-up with the Pirates and provides some possible explanations for why the Bucs can never seem to beat Milwaukee.
