Andrew Says: Only One Candidate For Cy Young Award
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - After another dominating performance by Pirates starter Francisco Liriano, this time last night against the Padres in San Diego, some people continue to try to make a case for Liriano as a legitimate Cy Young candidate.
But according to Andrew, in reality this is a one-man race.
This is not to take anything away from a fantastic season by Liriano, however barring injury, Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers will add that award to his mantle.
Liriano definitely has provided the Pirates with incredible value for the deal that he signed.
This conversation is a nice for a subplot for a compelling Pirates season and not the main story as it might have been in years past.
"This season means so much more than just individual accolades," he said.
