4 Arrested After Refusing To Leave Hotel, Police Kerfuffle

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police were called to a North Shore hotel after occupants who disobeyed hotel rules locked themselves in their room and refused to leave.

Police say they were called to the Marriott Residence Inn on West General Robinson Street.

Managers told police one of the rooms was occupied by several adults and numerous young children – in violation of the hotel's four-person maximum per room.

When authorities tried to enter the room, the occupants shut the door and locked the deadbolt, refusing to leave without a refund.

After about 10 minutes, they opened the door, but were uncooperative, kicking, scratching and swinging at the officers. Police even had to tase one woman.

Four people were also arrested.

No word on what charges they may face.

Stay with KDKA for more information.
