Tyson Foods plans to close two plants in Philadelphia

Hundreds of workers in Philadelphia will soon be out of a job. Tyson Foods plans to close two plants in North Philadelphia that make cheesesteak meat. That’s according to paperwork filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The closures will impact 229 workers at the plants on North American Street and East Hunting Park Avenue. The last day at the plants is Jan. 31.
