Teen drowns at Jersey Shore beach in Belmar, New Jersey

A teenager died after being pulled from the Jersey Shore. It happened around Belmar, just south of Asbury Park. Police say multiple people called 911 to report a swimmer in distress. We're told lifeguards were not on duty at the time. Crews searched the water for nearly an hour before finding the 13-year-old unresponsive. The Belmar Police Department is investigating.
