Wednesday's Child: Cheilin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Seventeen-year-old Cheilin loves ballroom dancing, especially the rumba.

But for Cheilin, who uses a wheelchair, it's about so much more than just dancing.

"It shows people that not just 'regular' people can dance," she says.  "People in a wheelchair can dance, too. So it's just really fun."

She says that more than anything else, she wants to help others.

(Cheilin:)  "I would like to become a psychologist."
(Larry Kane:)  "What about psychology interests you?"
(Cheilin:)  "Just helping people, because I just want to make kids feel better and talk to them and make them feel comfortable."

Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center, says Cheilin doesn't let her physical limitations keep her from exploring the world.

"She's outspoken and positive and always open to new things and she very much wants to be part of a family," Hochman says.
