Washington Safety Fined $48,000 For Hits Vs. Eagles
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's not a suspension, but it's certainly a hefty fine.
Washington Redskins safety Deshazor Everett announced he was fined $48,000 ($24,000 for each hit) for his hits on Darren Sproles and Brent Celek. Everett was penalized for both helmet-to-helmet hits.

Everett's hit on Sproles in the fourth quarter last Sunday's game vs. the Eagles sparked controversy, as Everett hit Sproles before the ball got there. Sproles left the game with a head injury and has not yet been cleared to return.
Eagles left tackle Jason Peters called it a "cheap shot."
