A Sweet Treat For Voters Waiting To Cast Their Vote
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some Pennsylvanians had to wait until after work before they could head to the polls and vote.
Donna Johnson a freshman at Temple skipped class so she could make it on time to cast her ballot.
"This line is making me tired, but then I realized that a lot of other people in different countries can't vote, so it makes me grateful," she said.
Lauren Terrazas with the organization national operations set up shop in front of the Oxford Ave. polling station in an effort to bring voters out and help them pass the time.
"We have a photo booth, food, nachos, we got pretzels, we also have a masseuse, we have a henna artists."
When the polls closed at 8:00 there were dozens of people still waiting to vote, but in Pennsylvania if you were inline when the polls close you can still cast your ballot.
