Tips for new runners: Just get out there and do what feels good. Don't be afraid to push your threshold as that's how we learn what we're capable of, but you've got to listen to your body also.

Why she runs: I started running in 2012 and never looked back. It is my therapy. I love running outdoors and often set out with no particular destination or mileage. I just go and do what my body feels capable of that given day. That said, I love speed work and prior to having my daughter, who is now 21-months old, I was running at times 6:30-6:40. My fastest mile was 5:00.
