'Roaming Hunger' To Help Philadelphians Track Their Favorite Food Trucks

By Chelsea Karnash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –Philadelphia has so many delicious food trucks, but how to find out where they are at any given time can be tricky. Now, a new website and its accompanying smartphone app are about to change that.

Starting on Feb. 21, Roaming Hunger, an "official food truck hub," will be adding Philly to its mapping system. Hungry food truck fans can visit the website and view the locations of their favorite trucks in real time. Users can also sort meals by breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night—for whenever that craving for a Rival Bros' coffee or a Buttercream cupcake strikes.

Ross Resnick, Roaming Hunger's founder, says the online mapping system has been extremely successful in other food truck laden cities (LA, San Francisco and New York, for example) since it first launched in 2009, and that the company has been monitoring the burgeoning Philly food truck scene for awhile.
