Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Post Office In Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police say they are investigating an armed robbery of a post office in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police say it happened at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. Post Office on the 6300 block of Castor Avenue.
According to police, a man allegedly robbed the post office at gun point.
Police say the suspect is described as a black male, between 45 to 50-years-old, with a gray beard and was last seen wearing a bucket hat, plaid shirt, and tan cargo shorts.
Police say he fled in an unknown direction.
An unknown amount of money and postal money orders were taken, according to police.
Police are investigating.
