Phillies Bumping Up Ticket Prices for 2011 Season
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Coming off a season in which they sold out every game, the Phillies are raising ticket prices for next year.
Phillies season ticket holders are getting invoices now, reflecting the higher 2011 prices. Seats will now cost between $17 and $65 per game.
Phils VP for tickets John Weber says about 30,000 of the 45,000 seats at Citizens Bank Park will cost more next year:
"The price range is zero to $5. We kept some price (increases) at zero, and we raised our infield, our best seats, $5. And the other tickets are more in the $2 to $3 range, the outfield and some of those areas in the $2 to $3 range."
The Phillies have capped season ticket sales at 28,500, and Weber says there is a waiting list of 2,000 to 3,000 for season tickets right now.
The Phils have sold out 123 games in a row. Single-game tickets go on sale February 17th.
