Phillies Begin Selling Three-Game Ticket Packages
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies are offering another way for fans to buy much-coveted tickets for the 2011 season.
There's a waiting list for Phillies' season tickets, and single-game tickets don't go on sale until February 17th. The Phils have been selling six-game packages since November, and now the team has begun selling three-game packages.
"This year, with the signing of Cliff Lee, we capped our season tickets again at 28,500," says Phils ticket VP John Weber. "We just passed 3.1 million tickets sold. And we're encouraging our fans to go ahead and get their six- and three-game plans now so they have their tickets for the 2011 season," he told KYW Newsradio on Tuesday morning.
We'll illustrate the demand this way: the Phillies have about 3.6 million regular-season seats available and they've already sold 3.1 million.
The team has sold out 123 consecutive games.
