Watch Live: Philadelphia Mayor Parker announces city preparations for snowstorm
Philadelphia will be under a snow emergency this weekend as snow and possible sleet and wintry mix head to the region.
Mayor Cherelle Parker began a news conference at 10:30 a.m. discussing how the city will handle the multiple inches of snow and cold temperatures.
She said the snow emergency will begin at 9 p.m. Saturday. The city is urging people who do not need to be parked on city streets to move their vehicles — and to move them off of snow emergency routes.
