Philadelphia Church Gives Away Free Gas To Help People Struggling With Costs
PHILADEPHIA (CBS) -- With rising gas prices putting a real strain on your wallet, one local church wants to lend a helping hand by giving away free gas. The Dare To Imagine Church held a gas giveaway at the Sunoco on Roosevelt Boulevard at Oxford Circle on Wednesday.
Long lines formed at the gas station as the church gave away more than $4,000 worth of free gas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The church gave each car $30 of free gas.
It was first-come, first-served.
The church says it plans to do it again next month.
