PA Company Designs Sparkling Patriotic Leotards For 'Final Five' Gymnasts

READING, PA (CBS) -- "Many years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication have led to this moment," said Jeanne Douglass on her Facebook page.

The glorifying moment Douglass is referring to is when she saw her leotard designs on Team USA's "Final Five" Gymnasts.

The patriotic colored one-piece that can be seen doing stunts that lead to gold medals, were created in nearby Reading, Pennsylvania.

GK Elite Sportswear, a Berks County business, is said to be the official outfitter of the American national gymnastics team.

According to the company's website, they are a global leader in gymnastics and cheerleading apparel and their products have been worn by International Olympians for more than 30 years.

This can be seen clearly on their website. With leotards named after the fabulous five themselves, such as the Firecracker Simone Biles Leotard, and the Aly Raisman Tried & True Leotard it may be safe to say that the girls have left their mark.

"My dream of watching my leotard design on Team USA during the Olympic Team Final competition has come true! I thank my family and friends for their continued support and enthusiasm, and God for gracing me with the talent to make my dreams come true. GO USA," Douglass' Facebook post read.

Douglass' coveted leotard design takes sparkle to a new level of shine. According to the New York Times, many of the Team USA leotards will have close to 5,000 Swarovski crystals each.

That's a lot of bling compared to the 1,188 Gabby Douglas wore when she won the gold medal in the individual all-around competition in 2012.

"It's difficult for me to imagine how we could get more crystals on," Kelly McKeown, executive vice president for design and corporate relations at GK Elite told the Times. This Olympics, "we may have hit peak crystal."

Rhonda Faehn, the Sr. Vice President USA Gymnastics, called the leotards her fave.
