Norristown Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Wounded

NORRISTOWN (CBS) -- Police in Montgomery County are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured Monday.

Gunfire rang out around 3:15 a.m. near Hawes Alley and Chain Street in the western end of Norristown.

Neighbors hearing multiple gunshots called police. Officers arrived to find three people shot. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were wounded.

One victim was rushed in to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition and the other victim was taken to Paoli Hospital.

Police are still piecing the incident together and have not revealed a motive. There've been no arrests .Police say the gunman fled the scene.
