'Mary Lee' The Shark Continues Journey, Might Be Pregnant
LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ (CBS) – The great white shark that's been off the Jersey Shore may be heading for the Big Apple.
A scientist also tells the NY Post that Mary Lee might be pregnant.
At last check, the shark was in the water near Long Beach Island.
Mary Lee has a satellite enabled tag in her dorsal fin, and every time her fin breaks the surface of the water, it transmits a signal.
Mary Lee was tagged in Cape Cod back in 2012.
Since then, she's traveled almost 20,000 miles.
