PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Both are nouns and both have the same initials. Except, that's about all Sam Bradford and the Super Bowl have in common.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a huge decision to make at quarterback as Bradford, 28, will become a free-agent on March 9th if he is not signed or franchise tagged.

One of Bradford's teammate, a Pro Bowler and leader for that matter, thinks the former No. 1 overall pick can lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl.

"If you protect Sam and give him weapons to use, I think he can be one of those quarterbacks to win a championship," Malcolm Jenkins told Comcast SportsNet's Philly Sports Talk on Tuesday.

"Hopefully we can get Sam here," Jenkins continued. "Like I said, I think everybody believes that he can be the quarterback and the leader that we need to take this team to a championship."

Money obviously plays a major role in the complicated equation of keeping Bradford in Philadelphia. The Eagles can franchise tag Bradford -- guaranteeing him about $20 million or so for just the 2016 season. Or, they can sign him to a new deal for multiple years.

"I don't get into numbers," Jenkins said. "If I'm trying to win a championship and I think he's the quarterback, then I'd pay him."

Eagles fans, however, disagree with their star safety. According to various polls done by SportsRadio 94WIP, about 75-percent of the fan base would let Bradford go.
