'Fuel The Cure' and 'Make A Wish' Gala At TRUST In Old City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A local organization founded and run by young professionals is holding a gala fundraiser designed to grant the wishes of children with chronic diseases.

"Fuel the Cure" is holding a gala fundraiser event November 20th at TRUST in Old City to raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation.  Make a Wish executive director Dennis Heron says granting wishes to sick children is great but even better:

"Passing the word that the Make a Wish foundation exists in their communities for kids in their communities who are living with a life threatening illness."

Mirza Cavalic, founder and president of Fuel the Cure:

"To us, the glamour and the fun is a means to an end."
