Eagles Announce Practice Squad Members
By Ray Boyd
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Sunday, the Eagles announced the 10 players that will make up their practice squad for the 2015 season.
The practice squad is below:
OL Brett Boyko
OL Malcolm Bunche
CB Randall Evans
WR Freddie Martino
DE Brian Mihalik
RB Raheem Mostert
TE Chris Pantale
WR Quron Pratt
S Ed Reynolds
LB Deontae Skinner
The practice squad includes CB Randall Evans who was a sixth round pick of the Eagles in the 2015 NFL Draft. Evans recorded an interception with the Eagles faced the Packers this preseason.
DE Brian Mihalik, the team's seventh round pick this year, also made the practice squad.
WR Freddie Martino was on the Falcons practice squad a year ago and eventually made his way to the 53-man roster. Martino had one of the Eagles more impressive catches of the preseason when he controlled the ball while dragging his feet for a touchdown against the Jets.
RB Raheem Mostert will be on the practice squad this year. He made a strong case to make the team on the back of a very impressive preseason. Mostert led the Birds with 157 rushing yards and 194 receiving yards. He led the entire NFL in all purpose yards for the preseason.
S Ed Reynolds came up short of his quest for a roster spot. Reynolds was selected by the Eagles in the fifth round a year ago, but spent the entire 2014 season on the practice squad. Reynolds showed some signs of improvement this preseason, including a two-interception game against the Colts.
Missing from the practice squad is local product Rasheed Bailey. Despite some impressive catches, including a touchdown in the preseason finale, Bailey was not selected as one of the 10 players for the Eagles practice squad.
