Delaware Troopers Seek Public's Assistance In Identifying Pickpocket Suspects

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Delaware State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two male suspects who allegedly pick-pocketed a Wilmington man earlier this week.

The incident occurred Tuesday at about 3 p.m. at the Acme grocery store on Centerville Road in Wilmington. An 85-year-old man had just finished grocery shopping and was headed out the store when a male suspect blocked the exit.

According to police, the victim says the suspect appeared to be picking up loose change from the floor, and at one point lifted the victim's shopping cart to check underneath it.

At that time, the victim says he noticed a second male standing close behind him. Moments later, both suspects left the area with one leaving the store and the second reentering. Shortly thereafter, the victim noticed that his wallet was missing from his pants pocket.

Police describe one of the suspects as a black male between 35 and 40 years old. He was last seen wearing glasses, a maroon V-neck shirt, white shorts, and white shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male between 40 and 45 years old, partially bald, with a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue V-neck shirt, with beige pants, and brown shoes.

Police are asking anyone who may recognize the suspects pictured below to contact Delaware State Police Troop 6 at 302-633-5000.
