Delaware County Community Celebrates 9-Year-Old's Performance In Junior Olympics
SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (CBS) -- A Delaware County community came together to celebrate a local junior olympian. It was raining, but that didn't stop people in Springfield from having a parade for 9-year-old CJ Szafran.
A motorcade of friends and relatives cruised by Szafran's house to congratulate him for his participation in the Junior Olympics in Florida last week.
He ran the 1500-meter and came in second place amongst all of the other 9-year-olds in the competition.
