Black Friday Shoppers Forgo Turkey For Savings

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Black Friday shopping seems to start earlier and earlier each year. This year, some started camping out Wednesday, waiting for the big deals.

Would you spend Thanksgiving camped out in a Best Buy parking lot? If you're like Blake from the Northeast then the answer is yes.

"The thing is, the best deals; there are only a few of them."

Blake got in line at 3 p.m. Wednesday. He was second, the one ahead of him in line got there at 7 a.m. The store is offering limited door-buster deals, opening at midnight, and Blake wants to replace his old TV.

"It's only $199 for a '42 HDTV. That's why I'm here."

There are only 10 of the TVs Blake wants, so he says he's not crazy for spending Thanksgiving in a parking lot.

"We're poor, I'm a student. And this is the only way we can really afford one to be honest."
