Arts Festival Takes Over Ambler, Pa., This Saturday

By Michelle Durham

AMBLER, Pa. (CBS) - The Borough of Ambler is holding an Arts Festival this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and this free family friendly event showcases the work of at least a dozen artists who live in that community.

"The Ambler Arts Festival is a day filled with art, music, food and shopping," says organizer Allison Wolf. "Everything for the whole family. We have over 70 artists. The majority of the restaurants in town are providing 'Festival on the Go' food. We have five bands and musicians on the main stage. It's going to be lots of fun for everybody."

Plus, a kid's corner. "There's going to be a kid's museum there. They can make their own painting or sculpture piece. There's going to be face painting, sand art, they can do spin art t-shirts, decorate cookies, make candy art. There's tons of things for kids to do."

Parking in the Borough is free that day. Butler Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Lindenwold Avenue, but there will be access to several in-town parking lots just steps away from the fun.
