4 arrested in connection with stolen car that hit state police during chase in Bucks County, Pennsylvania
Four people, two men, one woman and a minor, have been arrested in connection with a stolen car that hit two state police vehicles and led to a chase that started in Bucks County and ended in Philadelphia Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police said.
State police said troopers saw a stolen Honda CR-V from Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, on I-95 South in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, before 1 p.m.
They attempted to make a traffic stop on I-95 South near mile marker 26, but the car took off, leading to a chase. During the chase, the stolen Honda hit two state police cars.
Police said one trooper suffered a minor injury. The four were not injured during the incident.
At around 1:30 p.m., state police boxed in the Honda, which had driven the wrong way on a closed-off construction zone on I-95 near Aramingo Avenue in Philadelphia. Four men then exited the car, leaving it on the side of I-95, and ran into a wooded area of Frankford Creek.
The dog led troopers through the woods while other troopers walked along the train tracks.
Around 2 p.m., Chopper 3 captured at least five troopers sprinting across I-95, stopping traffic and leaping across barriers headed for the wooded area.
Troopers found all four after searching the area. PSP identified the three adults as Jailene Montijo, 22, Fredi Montijo-Rivera, 20, and Johanse Sencion-Bautista, 18. Police said the minor was taken into custody.
The three adults are facing many felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with this incident. The charges are not known at this time.
Philadelphia police, the PSP Aviation Unit, the K-9 Unit and others helped state police at the scene.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
