SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two suspects are in custody after they led officers on a police chase from Delaware County to West Philadelphia on Monday.

At approximately 4 p.m. police in Darby began pursuing the vehicle identified as a red Ford Focus.

The pursuit ended after the feeling vehicle crashed into several parked cars. The officers had the suspects cornered when they somehow got out of the car and fled on foot.

One of the suspects was apprehended in the area of 52^nd and Catherine Street, while the second suspect was caught a short time after.

The accident caused by the fleeing vehicle left four persons injured. They were transported to Presbyterian hospital and remain in stable condition.

So far no word on to what led to the pursuit.
