2 Philadelphia Area Towns Named Among Country's 'Quirkiest'
By Chelsea Karnash
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Colorful locals? Check. Vibrant Main Street? Check.
Two Philadelphia area towns have been named to the Travel + Leisure list of America's quirkiest – and that's a compliment (we think).
Both Lambertville, NJ and Doylestown, Pa. made the T+L roundup, which includes 20 spots across the country.
According to the article, Lambertville residents "get props for their serious attitude toward antiques."
"To folks in this quaint town along the Delaware River, the real weirdos may be the motorcycle riders and Wiccans across the bridge in New Hope, PA," T+L writes, before recommending a bout of people-watching at the Lambertville Trading Company.
Nearby Doylestown, on the other hand, walks a fine line between quirky and all-out quaint, T+L says.
"Doylestown also ranked well for its fairs, such as the annual Polish Festival, held at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa (a Black Madonna sometimes seen as a subversive), and the crowd-pleasing Beer Fest, held at the town's former estate, Fonthill Castle," the article explains.

Amelia Island, FL; Greenville, SC; and Tiburon, CA all made the cut.
