Rally for clerk
Lawyers for a defiant Kentucky court clerk Kim Davis are stepping up efforts to free her from jail, filing an emergency motion in federal court. She has refused to obey the Supreme Court's decision on same-sex marriage, and supporters say they're poised to hold the biggest rally yet calling for her release.
Police shooting
Attorneys in South Carolina say they have new evidence in the deadly police officer shooting of an unarmed black man. Cell phone video from April shows officer Michael Slager shoot and kill Walter Scott during a traffic stop, but Slager's attorney says the camera missed part of the story.
