Plane hijacked

An EgyptAir plane was hijacked on Tuesday during a domestic flight between Alexandria and Cairo and diverted to Larnaka, Cyprus. The incident, dubbed "not terrorism-related" by the Cypriot president, appeared to be the result of a single man's actions, but his motive remains unclear.

No clear winners?

If Bernie Sanders' campaign has its way, Republicans might not be the only ones facing a contested convention this summer. Sanders' top strategist has predicted that neither Democratic candidate will reach the 2,383 delegates necessary to win the Democratic nomination outright.

Convention contention

An online petition calling for authorities to allow attendees of the Republican National Convention in Ohio to carry firearms has gained a lot of signatures in recent days. The Secret Service -- in charge of securing the event -- has ruled it out, but the real surprise is who was behind the petition in the first place.

Gun shop hero

Plans for a possible mass shooting have been foiled thanks to an alert gun shop owner in Ohio. James Howard, 25, tried to buy a rifle last week, but the store owner refused to sell it to him. Now Howard is facing multiple criminal charges. We speak to the man many officials are calling a hero.

Trump's policy

A New York Times editorial calls Donald Trump's remarks on foreign policy "contradictory and shockingly ignorant." In a lengthy interview with the Times, the GOP front-runner suggested nuclear weapons could be a "last resort," as he revealed three more names on his list of foreign policy advisers. What do other Republicans think?

Premature births

Researchers say about 3 percent of the premature births in the U.S. each year can be traced to the health effects of high levels of air pollution -- that's more than 15,000 babies at risk. For the first time, experts are putting a price tag on the economic toll this takes on families and the U.S. health care system.

"Stories of Survivors"

Adalis Martinez was a teenager when she checked her symptoms on Google. "The worst that came up for me was colon cancer, and I thought, 'It can't be this bad, but it's worth a check.'" At the age of just 21, doctors confirmed her worst fear. Now, Adalis shares with CBS News how love and faith got her through.
