Hurricane Harvey devastated Texans on Friday making landfall as a Category 4 Hurricane. With blustering 130 mph winds, the hurricane left around 250,000 residents without power, houses with blown off roofs and many unrooted trees. Though the storm has been downgraded, heavy rains and flooding continue.
Sunday on "Face the Nation," we'll get the latest on the damage and what to expect in the coming days with Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
In addition, we'll talk to Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossert about the ongoing federal response including President Donald Trump's handling of the storm.
We'll also discuss the latest news from abroad that North Korea launched three ballistic missiles toward the East Sea near Japan Friday. This comes just days after both President Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson commended the North Korean regime for halting its missile tests and even suggested the possibility of opening a dialogue with Pyongyang.
To discuss that, and the president's new strategy in Afghanistan, we'll talk to President Obama's former National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and the former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and CBS News Military and Homeland Security Analyst James "Sandy" Winnefeld.
